It didn’t take long for Jessica Eye to find a new home.
Eye announced she has signed with the UFC only a week after she was dropped by Bellator, as the promotion had decided to dissolve it’s women’s divisions. UFC Tonight announced the signing Tuesday night.
One of the hottest fighters in all of the women’s weight classes, Eye is currently 10-1 and ranked #2 under the Unified flyweight rankings. She has won her last seven fights, including a submission over fan favorite Zoila Gurgel.
When she was released from Bellator, it was a two horse race on where she would land, either InvictaFC or the UFC, but Eye decided to move up in weight to follow her dream of making it to the UFC. Plans are for Eye to take on Sarah Kaufman in both their UFC debuts on a card to be announced.
