The long awaited documentary about Oregon MMA fighter Glena Avila has been accepted as an entry into the prestigious SlamDance Film Festival.
Emmy award winning filmmaker Allan Luebke and producer Josh Leake followed Avila for two years as she was juggling her life as a mom and an undefeated amateur fighter. Originally title “Fight Dreams”, “Glena” was one of the few to make it to the festival, as more than 8000 featured documentaries vied for spots. Only 8 entries were accepted into SlamDance and will have a chance to win several awards.
The Slamdance festival will run January 18-23 in Park City, Utah. You can learn more about the documentary and see exclusive clips here.
