UFC president Dana White announced Tuesday that Cat Zingano has pulled out of her title match with champion Ronda Rousey and has dropped out of coaching “The Ultimate Fighter”. In her place will be former Strikeforce champion Miesha Tate. Tate is coming off a loss to Zingano this past April.

White had knew 2 weeks ago about the injury and announced the switch just as the show has started filming in Vegas this week. Zingano will go under the knife Tuesday evening.

Rousey and Tate have had a heated rivalry in early 2012 where a twitter war ensued and Rousey ending up winning Tate’s bantamweight title in Strikeforce. The two still have a big dislike for each other and we should expect fireworks between the two on the show.

Tate will also get her rematch with Rousey for the UFC belt later this year. No word on who will replace Tate against Liz Carmouche at UFC on Fox 8 in July.
