Veteran fighter Sarah Schneider has once again stepped up as she replaces Claudia Gadelha against Joanne Calderwood at InvictaFC 6. Gadelha was promoted to the the co-main event against Ayaka Hamsaki after strawweight champion Carla Esparza dropped out due to injury.
Schneider (6-6) lost to current champ Esparza at InvictaFC 2 last year. Her drop to 115 pounds has found some success as she has wins over Sally Krumdiack and Ivanna Cole.
The undefeated Calderwood (6-0) is climbing the ladder quickly and is in title contention. She is coming off a first round TKO win over Sally Krumdiack at Cage Warriors this past April.
InvictaFC 6 will emanate from the AmeriStar Casino in Kansas City, MO July 13. It will stream live on UStream.tv for $10.
