Michele Gutierrez will finally make her return to the cage when she faces Jordan Gaza at Dakota Fighting Championships 16 in Fargo, ND August 23. Both fighter made the announcement via twitter Monday night.
Gutierrez (3-3) is looking to snap a two fight skid, having lost Sarah Maloy via decision at InvictaFC 1 last year. She was to fight in December at Bellator against Felice Herrig, but Gutierrez had to bow out.
Gaza (1-1) is coming off a win over Kathina Catron via rear naked choke in her last outing in February. She was set to take a few matches this summer, but took some personal time off.
The match is expected to be streamed August 23 at MidwestFightShop.com.
